It will be tempting not to watch the pilot if it gets ‘leaked’ early, but I do worry about how it will affect ratings come January.

John Noble was fantastic wasn’t he! Walter has so much potential as a character.

Count me among those who hope to see the pilot before next year. I don’t mind spoilers coming out in bits and pieces, but the whole thing is generally much more fun without them.

With Fringe, I was a bit disappointed, but I do look forward to seeing more of John Noble’s character. (Since everyone is mentioning it.)

@ Chandramas: Good suggestion. Once we get more spoilers i’ll continue to spoiler-mark them and i’ll also make a seperate link for them, maybe even an (optional) seperate RSS feed for those who like spoilers.

@ Ohken: I don’t think FOX will be cancelling Dollhouse anytime soon *touchwood* Although I guess it depends on the quality of Dollhouse.

@Page 48: I hear you, the type of spoiler is also key and any spoiler should carry a fair degree of warning. I’m totally spoiler-free when it comes to shows like “LOST”, for Dollhouse i’m more open to minor spoilers but at the same time I also wouldn’t mind if unofficial spoilers are thin on the ground. I hope we get alot of officially released teasers though.

As for “Fringe” (probably leaked by FOX) it looks great! I just hope the leaked Pilot doesn’t harm the ratings when September comes. Like you, i’ll be watching, but I hope others do too.

@Charlie Jane Anders: Thanks for the article Charlie, it was a great read! ..and for clarifying your position on the spoilers. I agree that the ‘official’ spoilers (such as the Echo/Agent Smith video) and descriptions are fine. That’s the thing, the creators need to guide us into the basic premise somehow, so I guess we can trust them to give us want we need to know without ruining the major reveals.

Hi, thanks for linking to my post! To be clear, in the context of that post, I was referring to officially released spoilers. (Trailers, blurbs, etc.) Or if a TV show/movie is based on a book that you may already have read. Not unofficial spoilers, like leaked scripts, set reports, etc. In that context, I think Dollhouse will survive until January with only the basic plot info “spoiled.” The stuff Joss would want us to know, about the Dollhouse and how it works, and how Echo can be so many different people. But I could be proved wrong!

I don’t object to spoilers at all as long as there is fair warning! Spoilers come in degrees, with some (such as ‘the butler did it’) ruining everything for the viewer. Less important spoilers (such as ‘the butler is colour-blind’) don’t do any real harm.

I watched the pilot of “Fringe” the second it was available, even knowing that it was unlikely to be the final cut. When it debuts, I’ll be right there to watch it again, just to see the tweaks. Most spoilers don’t really spoil anything for me. I’m a curious bugger.
