As regular readers will know, I’m attempting to catch up with the episodes of Dollhouse that I have missed, or not yet reviewed, by posting mini reviews before the series finale, bumped to Jan 29 (where I plan to post a full review, thus bringing closure to my WD journey). Below the jump I post my honest thoughts on the episode 2.06, “The Left Hand”.

Thanks to Jo for sending this in to me. I’m posting it for anyone who is interested:
Hi there,
I saw a post on IMDB about the world’s first Dollhouse convention and I couldn’t
see anything about it on your website so I thought I’d email you the link in
case you wanted to post it. I think it’d be great for other Dollhouse fans to
know about the chance to meet some of the cast.

I’d like to wish WD readers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thanks to everyone who has read, commented, voted and tweeted WD over the past year!
We all know that the show is coming to an end, but I’d still like to share my thoughts on all of the episodes that I have yet to review (albeit in condensed form) within the next couple of weeks. Then, for the series finale – good or bad – I hope to post a detailed and (as always) honest review of my thoughts, thus bringing closure to the blog and my Dollhouse journey.
I really hope that the the show has improved to the extent that some of you have said it has. I’m actually looking forward to catching up with season 2 because I will be re-entering with somewhat of a blank slate season 2-wise, so it will be interesting to see if the show can leave me the same enthusiasm that I had before DH actually started.

It’s been a while since I have updated this site but I think now is an appropriate time. According to reports, Dollhouse has been canceled by FOX. Although the remaining episodes of the 13 order will be go to air as planned:
This has been a busy week for cancellations. The latest addition to the TV graveyard: Dollhouse.
According to multiple insiders, Fox has informed Joss Whedon that it will not be ordering additional installments of his low-rated drama beyond the current 13-episode order. On the bright side, the network still plans to burn off the remaining unaired episodes beginning in December. Hey, it’s something.
Dollhouse has been averaging a mere 3 million viewers this season. Last season — when fan support, together with significant budget cuts, helped it to get an odds-defying second-year pickup — the show averaged 4.7 million.
I’ll have more to say on this in the coming weeks once we get official confirmation, and I’ll also give my first and final thoughts on the episodes that have aired. Although I had my issues with the direction and quality of the series, it’s never nice when a show that had so much potential gets canceled.
