Dollhouse actress Miracle Laurie, who plays crazed-lasagna-lover/sleeper active “November”, tells the Baltimore Sun that she tried thousands of times to join Joss Whedon‘s inner circle before landing the part on Dollhouse. She also talks about the Shore Leave Sci-fi Convention (where she’ll be appearing this weekend) and gives her take on fan theories about November and Dollhouse (remind me to read that once I’ve finished the season 
).

Bad news for Dollhouse fans anticpating the season 2 premiere. Fox have announced that it has been pushed back by 1 week:
“DOLLHOUSE will now have its Season 2 premiere on FRIDAY, 9/25 at 9/8c. The date has been pushed back 1 week from the originally announced FRI, 9/18.”
It is not yet clear why season 2 has been delayed – with all the upheaval last season, this news will surely send a few hearts fluttering.

Fans hoping to get their hands on a copy of the limited edition Dollhouse box-set crashed the FoxStore.com site when they went on sale July 6.
The 5000 available sets are one-time Comic Con specials and will be distributed at the San Diego event via booth #1429. Only a limited number of the sets have been made available for online purchase, hence the gold-rush which caused the Fox servers to collapse – a small price to pay for clever marketing. 
The normal DVD and Blu-ray sets go on public release from July 28.

Here is my review for Dollhouse 1.09 “A Spy In The House Of Love”, focusing on the good and bad from the episode.
THE GOOD
- Trust and Pain. It was interesting to note Echo’s little speech about pain being an insignificant consequence of trusting another person. She may be right on some level – giving yourself to another person can be beautiful, but as Langton suggests, “that kind of trust always leads to pain”. In other words, there has to be a balance – trusting someone to the point of losing yourself is a risk too big for some. Their conversation was in the context of Echo’s dominatrix gig, but it takes on greater significance when applied to the wider theme of identity and empowerment. It’s perhaps also worth looking at this in the context of Langton and Echo’s relationship – she trusts him because she’s been imprinted to do so..but is there an even deeper trust there?

Sci Fi has acquired the UK rights to air season 2 of Dollhouse. The channel will also screen the “unaired” 13th episode, “Epitaph One”, in August.
“We’re thrilled to offer our audience not only all 13 episodes of the first season but also confirmation that Sci Fi has the season two premiere already lined up for later in the year,” said Jon Farrar, programming director for NBC Universal Global Networks in the UK.
He added: “Dollhouse has become a cult hit in the UK and is one of the most talked about and successful show launches of 2009.
“We’ve been relentless in our quest to bring the most entertaining, exciting and in-demand programming to our viewers and Dollhouse has ticked all those boxes and many more.”
