I was a fan of the show from the first episode... not a huge fan... just a fan. It was one of the few shows that I watched regularly. I liked the show, but wasn't surprised to see it cancelled.

However, the last few shows have been BRILLIANT. I'm upset I wasn't more active in showing my support for it, publicly. Is there anyone I can write to express my dissatisfaction? Maybe the show could go away for a year, then come back the next season. It truly would be a huge loss if this show goes away forever. It was really starting to get amazing. It would definitely have started capturing the fan-base from other shows like "Lost" and Battle Star Gallactica", if it continued.

Thanks,
A Too- Late fan.

I was actually a fan of the show from day one, but there were some episodes that just *never* needed to happen in both seasons -- one in particular *cough*"Stage Fright"*cough cough* that still sends shudders of bad-TV horrors down my spine.

But I was always interested enough in the premise, the questions that it raised, and the moral issues it tried (and at times briefly succeeded) to explore. But it is a tad annoying that it waited to actually get *this* good until this late in the game.

Also, you're completely right about "Fringe;" I loved the first season and since then have had to convince myself to actually tune in to it week after week. It's just lost *something* that I can't even really describe and it desperately needs to get it back. Fast.

DH didn't deserve a 2nd season, but thank God it got one. I would have personally pulled the life-support even as late as 2.1, but since being canceled, DH has become one of the best things on TV.

Why they waited so long to get past the ho of the week episodes is way beyond me. This is just more proof (as if it was needed) that mythology laden serialized TV is the proper way to go. Maybe "Fringe" is just waiting to be canceled so they can start rolling out the good stuff in 2-hour blocks every week.

Shame it had to be this way.

Hi guys,

I'll definitely be posting my thoughts on the 2nd season at some point. I'm not sure how extensive it will be, but I do plan on doing a comprehensive review of the series finale.

Cheers!

I really hope that you post your thoughts on some of the season two episodes, because I still miss your amazing deconstructions of previous episodes and season two has been beyond amazing since episode four, "Belonging," when they finally just switched to all-out mythology and completely abandoned the standalones.

I'm beginning to think that the Fox execs just don't get Joss Whedon. (I'm not saying I have a perfect understanding myself, however, I'm at least willing to wait patiently until he shows us where he's going). The premise of Dollhouse is complex and the storylines possible are nearly infinite - let the man tell his story for Pete's sake! Buffy and Angel were allowed to develop and look how well they did. Fireflly was another vehicle with infinite possibilities - had Fox let the audience grow organicly, Joss wouldn't have had to kill off my favourite characters in the movie. I read 1500 page, three/six/ten book series all the time - I LIKE big, complicated stories - and I'm not the only one - the network just has to wait a bit for us all to come to the show!

Well, I can’t say that I’m entirely surprised, but, disappointed? Sure. I am, however, nowhere near as bitter as I was for other shows because of how “Dollhouse” was treated during its second season.

I mean, let’s be honest: none of us thought we were going to GET a second season. Also, they’re not only letting Whedon and Co. FINISH the season, they also let them know in advance that they were writing a series finale so they had enough time to give fans a more satisfying ending. This is much more consideration than they ever gave fans of other shows (Firefly, Tru Calling, Point Pleasant, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, etc).

I, for one, plan to thoroughly enjoy all the double-shots in December and look forward to an excellent finale with much tear-shedding by us loyal fans. I hope that Whedon will continue with this ‘verse in the form of comic books (a la Buffy and Angel) or a movie (a la Firefly/Serenity). Either way, it’s been an amazing two years.
